Abstract
Title of the Thesis: The Effectiveness of a Suggested Program in Developing The Skills of Producing Instructional Web Sites for Faculty of Education Students .
Abstract:
The study aims at :
1. Identifying the structural (educational and technological) criteria for educational internet sites
2.Identifying the skills of producing educational internet sites.
3. Designing a programme for developing the skills of producing educational internet sites by students of the faculty of education.
4. Identifying the effectiveness of the suggested programme in developing the skills of producing educational internet sites by students of the faculty of education.
The sample of the study consisted of 91 male and female student teachers. Some of them were enrolled in the third year in Qena faculty of Education, departments of Mathematics, physics and chemistry, and Biology. Others were enrolled in the third year at Qena faculty of Specific education, departments of Music education, art education, and home economics.
Results showed the following:
1. An inventory of the structural criteria for developing educational internet sites was identified.
2. An inventory of the skills of producing educational internet sites was identified.
3. Programmes for developing the skills of producing educational internet sites by students of the faculty of education using hyper media was produced according to four stages: the educational preparation stage, the equipment stage, the programming and authoring stage, and the experimentation stage.
4. Results of the pre and post administration of the tools of the study (achievement test, observation sheet, evaluation sheet) showed statistically significant differences at 0.01 level between the mean scores of the group of the study in the two administrations, favoring the post administration. Effect ratios ranged between 0.96 and 0.97 which shows that these differences were the result of the suggested programme. Blake's gain ratio was more than 1 which emphasizes the effectiveness of the programme in developing the skills of producing educational internet sites for students of the faculty of Education.
